About Me

My photo
Clayton here. Here is a little about me. My favorite color is orange. I wish everything in my life was orange. Including my car and phone. (R.I.P.) I love text messaging and don't really like talking on the phone. My favorite drink in the entire world is Dr. Pepper. I'm pretty sure God gave it to the world because he loves us. (Add a little coconut rum, it makes it even better. If that's even possible.) I work in Human Resources at a hotel in downtown SLC. I'm addicted to reality TV. Especially Survivor, American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. I love Mr. Potato Head, as you can probably tell. What else... Oh yeah I'm gay and have an AMAZING husband, Paul. ILY!!

PRIDE POST!!

Yeah its late but oh well. I finally had time during my lunch break. This is Paul, Karri and Me in the big chair at Pride. The big chair is a tradition so we had to do it. Sorry it's so fuzzy. I took a picture of the polaroid with my phone. Oh well.
This is my friend Doug. We took this picture to send to our friend Jefferson who decided to move to New York and leave us all alone to celebrate Pride without him. Sad! This was the first time I went to Pride without Jefferson. Good thing Paul and Karri kept me company. I miss my Jefferson!!
Here is Paige and Me getting ready to start the parade. We were the very front line of balloons. It was so cool!!

Where I work, the explanation

I figured everyone would want an explanation. This picture was taken on my first day of "work." We went all over the city on the new City Tour Pass. One of the stops was at Red Butte Gardens. This is some of my group photoshopped into a cabbage patch. I'm at the top in the left corner, the top center is Heidi (it was here idea to do the cabbage patch), top right is Michael Mack or VP of Services, middle row on the left is one of my bosses, Kaitlin, next to Kaitlin is Sean Stinson (I actually don't remember what his title is...), and at the bottom is Tori Piersante (I think that's how you spell it) she is over Education Convention Sales and is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I promise to put a real picture of the building on soon but for now Kylie said I should use this one.

Pride Potatoes 2008

I'm so sorry that I haven't updated my blog more recently. I will promise to do better. But now that I have a job that keeps me busy its harder. I do have a few things ready to go that I will attempt to blog soon. As for now enjoy this years version of Pride Potatoes. I had lots of fun making them, mostly because Paul actually helped me this time. He picked out the hats and feet. We tried to make them look like the 6 of us that marched in the parade together. So Red is his sister Carla, Orange is me (of coarse), Yellow is our friend Paige, Green is my Karri Berry, Blue is Paul (he's so cute), and Purple is his mom. Enjoy!!

It's official!!

I came into work this morning and this is the first thing I noticed!! They put my name on my cubicle!! I was so excited about it that I made the lady that sits next to me come over and look at it. She's a sweet little thing so she was nice about it. I guess that means they figure I'll stick around. The girl that has been training me, Caryn, said that it took like 3 weeks for her to get her name put on. HaHa take that!

Sorry for the delay.

I have officially started my new job. I actually "started" on Friday May 30. But that was basically a play day. The SLCVB (Salt Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau, understand why we abbreviate?) just put out a new City Tour pass that takes you all over the city in GrayLine buses and allows you to tour several attractions in the Salt Lake area. It's really awesome. So Monday was my first official day in the office and things have been going very smoothly. I have my own cubicle (the biggest one of all the assistants). I plan on finding stuff so I can decorate it so that it feels like home. I did bring in my little Mr. Potato Head figurine that the people at Sundance gave to me as my going away present, I have my survivor magnet and I brought the new orange M&M magnet that my awesome sister gave me. I also stuck my Hilton olympics pin into the wall. But most importantly I set the wallpaper on my computer so that it's the Mr. Potato Head that is on the left side of my blog towards the bottom. I love it. I promise to take pictures of my new little world and post them for all to enjoy. Stay tuned... (and I do plan on changing my Potato Head pictures soon as well)
